MAanglers Online Fishing Tournament???

Would anyone be interested in a Online Fishing Tournament? I'm not sure exactly how it would work but I have some ideas.

1. Set a date for the Tournament!

2. People particapating would need a digital camera or borrow one!

3. Everyone heads out to there favorite fishing place with Digital camera and ruler.

4. At the end of the day, everyone posts their largest bass with date on piece of paper along with special code for that day!

5. Winner gets bragging rights until next online tournament. Lets hear some ideas and see if we can't get this going. It would make weekend fishing interesting!!!

Each tournament could be a different species of fish.....ect...

Sounds like a good idea. Never thought of it personally before but it is something that is definatly possible. Im up for that. Lets see what other members think of it.

heres how the MFF tourny and the Iceshanty online tourny's go. Everyone who wants to signs up, usually a 3 day period to sign up.You put ur name and ur Computer name...then, we make a MAanglers.com card. You take a picture of you and the fish, then the fish next to a ruler with the card next to it. It all goes by length. If you want i will run it.

I dont want the other contest that we have against NEF to be pushed to the side. How about we do these on certain weekends 2 day fishing and biggest fish will get prize something along that. For the month of August we wont have a fish of the month contest since so many different contests are going on. I will work something out so everyone enjoys

I dont think that it will be pushed aside, i think if anything it will give another insentive to go out and fish. This will be a month or 2 deal, so we have plenty of time. Plus, the fish entered in this tourny can be entered in that tourny as well.

If you have to much stuff going on (ie. Tournaments) more people are going to be spread out!

JayW, Make sure things stay simple...especially now where we really don't have a huge member base. This will keep a concentration on a specific event with more of our member base participating...

Just a suggestion! Don't have to much going on at once...

A: It confuses people
B: Harded to keep track of

oh, and i wont start the tournement untill people have registered. As in, i just started the thread today for people to register and to know about it, but the actuall tournement wont start for atleast 2 weeks.
