This should be Crestys' post, but with the pm site down, I don't think he got my reply to his questions, so I'm airing out my thoughts here.
OCT 4 is the last day to get any money to Jeff A, Cresty, or myself. I have to have the hall rental fee in by that night, or cancel the event.
So far, 2(yes, that's two) people have given me money for this. One other asked me about meeting him, but I haven't heard any more from him. I hope those of you who are planning to go don't wait until the last minute to try and get hold of me, cuz I'd hate to have to run all over W Mass on a Sat afternoon when I could be out fishing.
This Sunday I will be in the Chicopee area around 11:00 am and at the AmVets hall on Montgomery Street from about 1:pm till 3: pm.
There's only 9 days left to throw this thing together, folks, so let's get a few more committed(NOT that kind of committed!!) members paid up so we can start working on a list of who's bringing what to eat.
My wife and step-son have used their memberships at the AmVets to pull a string or two and get a really good deal on the hall. It would be a shame to have wasted their efforts.
Crazy, I know where you live now, so there's no problem getting to you when I have a spare minute or two. Cresty, you asked how to get the money to me. You're the one who started this. I'm guessing you're good for your $8.00 dollars. If it came down to your money making the difference between canceling and going ahead, I'd cover for you untill we met at the shindig.
Double check your calendars to make sure that SUN. Oct.26 is free and that you don't have a liver transplant scheduled, or it's your 50th anniversary, or your dog is about to have kittens, etc.
