I'm gonna preface this by saying that I'm not an Obama fan, and I really have a problem with Joe Biden.

That being said, don't you think this is a cheap shot? I looked through this thread hoping to find some political insights, but instead all I found were some cheesy puns and word games. A few of you guys criticized Brookiemaster for his age, but this whole thread really stinks of childishness. Let me ask you, do you sincerely believe that there is any connection between Osama and Obama? Today is the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Don't you think frivolous comparisons such as this really cheapen the memory of the lives lost on that day?

Also my brother in Law is in Iraq right now and he was there when Obama visited, do you know that Obama showed up and spent his time with top officials and never gave the soldiers the time of day! Not a Thank You..

That is a pretty big STRETCH. Do you remember Eric Rudolph, the terrorist who bombed the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta? He prayed to Jesus Christ. That doesn't mean all Christians worldwide share the same views as him or should be feared and mistrusted as if they are all terrorists. I find this whole "Obama is a Muslim YikesYikesYikes" thing very hard to believe, but even if it were true, it is still unfair to lump him in with Bin Laden.

Well, he's a politician. I don't think those qualities are particularly rare when you get to politics at the national level.

As far as the black thing, it's tough to quantify something like that. Every candidate has features like that that can for or against them. After all, there are also people in the US who refused to vote for Obama simply because he is black. It works both ways. Obama has incredible skills as a speaker and is very charismatic. That doesn't make him right, but I don't think you can just write off his success as being a result of his skin color.

Again, I'm not trying to campaign for Obama. I won't be voting for him this fall. I just don't think that scrambling the letters in his name to associate him with Bin Laden is a cheap, bush league trick. Remember, Bin Laden is responsible for the cold-blooded murder of close to 3,000 innocent people. I think there's been enough garbage flying around during this election that we could all use a break from this sort of thing. I don't think there was anything funny about 9/11, and I think trying to associate someone with those attacks is unfair and innappropriate.
