Just posting this here, because this is one of the forums where non-members can view Anthony Tournament. We had a good mixture of Member and Non-Members at the Tournament.
Moderators can move this to where they think is best.
First off two great big "Atta-Boys" for Fisher 16 and JeffA for getting this thing off the ground and I believe shouldering most of the contacts, work and communications for a memorable day for Maanglers and for Anthony's family. Thanks to all the others who helped out and donated things for the raffle. I think everything worked out very well.
Anyway the day started off kinda foggy. This is what it looked like when I looked out my window this morning:

By the time I got to the ramp, later than I wanted, the guys were already set up meaning I didn't have to do anything:

Our very own YoteBuster had lost his "bearings" along with one on his trailer. The guys said he had gone in search of a replacement and figured he would be "bearing" down on us any time in his over "bearing" manner. He managed to find a replacement and with a little good ole American ingenuity he managed to do a parking lot fix under some adverse and over "bearing" conditions. Not bad for temporary fix Yote:

We also had a Birthday boy with us today. Our forum member, Gill Finn. Gill's stepson, Ed was with him, (I call him "shorty" for "short"). Many of you may have seen Gill's post about the town of West Springfield honoring him and others for their service to this country. The pictures look good in the West Side Record.

I can remember the day's when I was a little fisherman hoping to catch the big one in the various lakes, ponds, and rivers that I was fortunate to wet a line in. Anthony photograph above reminds me of my youth, and unfortnately his youth was cut short due to tragic tragic circumstances.
There were many times today I had to really take back a tear, the first one was this morning when I witnessed the amazing response from Anglers across Western, Central, and Eastern Mass as boat after boat began to pull into the foggy Jones Ferry Launch area.

The second one was the amazing amount of Sponsers who donated tons of prizes for the Winners. A Big Thank You to Granby Bait and Tackle for $20.00 Gift Certficate, Cabela's For Twenty Five Dollar Gift Certificate, JayW Twenty Five Dollar Gas Card, Big Y Twenty Five Dollar Gift Card, and two Restraunt Gift Certificate's from Dangermousex for Twenty Dollars, and BassFever for the Donation of the Jigging Rod and all the Raffle Prizes that Jeff worked very very hard to get.

The third was landing this fish that I caught just as the fog was lifting and I knew Anthony would have been proud of this catch. This fish is just over the size of the fish he is holding above. Therefore my angling partner and I decided to dedicate this first Smallie to Anthony.

As the day progressed into mid-morning the media began to show up wanted to do interview concerning the tournament and what we hope to give as a message about tournament. I just want to say thanks to the following media outlets who showed great care in keeping this tournament a positive one wwlp, cbs3springfield, and wggb, and The Republican. They were all very respectable to Mrs. Keefe and her family. There were at times that I choked up during my interview talking with them, and you guys did good.
