Looking for someone to go geocaching with. Great fun if you like hunting, and great exercise if you are not skinny. Requires the ability to walk.

You don't need a GPS is you can read a map.

Geocaching has been around for decades, long before the advent of hand held GPS. It did not however, become popular with the masses untill hand helds were widely available and it became "so easy a cave man can do it".
Every one who venture in to the back woods should know how to read a map and compass before they learn to depend on a GPS.

Fishing has been around for decades, long before the advent of boats and BASS.It did not however, become popular with the masses until bassboats with 200hp motors and color fishfinders and chartplotters were widely available and it became so easy a caveman can do it. However, I still love fishing, and geocaching beats ice fishing and is a good form of exercise. After all, even a caveman need a little exercise.

Franc, I was not bashing geocaching, and I'm sorry if thats what you thought. Treasure hunting is a passion of mine. GPS, Google Earth, and water related electronics are wonderful tools for treasure hunters, fishermen, hunters and the like. I learned to navigate and find treasures using a map, barometer, and a compass. At times I thinK I would like a GPS unit. High tech will certainly aid new and old treasure hunters. P.S. Try hiding a cache on the White House Lawn.

Reload,
Maybe you can take me there in your boat. You buy the gas and I'll get the bait. I have been told where to go a few times, however, this is definately a new place. Have you been there?

franc, I hope you are reading my comments with a sense of humor as I am writing them and attempting to be funny. The geocache I gave you is the center of a crater on top of Mt. Etna and it is currently errupting. Laughing1Laughing1Laughing1. Any excuse to get outside, explore and treasure hunt is very special to me. It's a shame more people don't do it.

I can take a joke. However, I found that location to be in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, East of New England.

I'm not going into strange woods with you.! 0 Degrees Latitude is Greenwich England. How can you come up with 14 degrees East of England as being in the Atlantic Ocean. Striperblues got it correct.
