View Full Version : Nauset and Outer Cape
I might be heading to Nauset beach for a day trip either this week or next. Has anyone heard of anything regarding the fishing? Thanks

the best source i use for the cape is the cape cod times. outdoors, molly benjamin gives fair reports, bait shops won't tell you it's poor fishing, don't come here and buy from my shops. sounds like bass are there but patience and chum works, blues at the islands and south beaches to the top, alot of good bass in the canal, only place i fish.

I just got back from a week long fishing trip at the cape. Fished out of Chatham on our boat. We did fairly well on stripers out there. One day we did really good boating 6 keepers in less than an hour the biggest being 40 inches. We also caught a few cod during a venture for tuna which seemed to be around. Had one on a spreader bar but lost it. A friend of ours caught a 59 incher the same day. But all in all the fishing is pretty good, the blues and bass are around.

To bad about the lost Tuna, but a 59 icher is nice. Tell your friend I said, "Congrats". Hopefully the striper fishing will be good on Martha's when were out there.
