View Full Version : Ice Fishing?
Anyone want to go ice fishing sometime this winter? Im relatively newer to ice fishing (only been doing it for the past 3 years) but would love to learn more. Thanks
Only thing is the ice has got to get a lot thicker....the temps today didn't help any either!:)
BTW yer doing a great job with this site.
I got repremanded and banished from NEoutdoors for postinga link to this site in my signature! Guess I broke some rules? Some folks just can't hack the competition. That site is lucky if it gets 4 or 5 posts a week.
Keep up the good work Bpapi!:D

I thought the ice was rather thin until I went out to check! I have fished Ashfield Lake, Ashfield and Bartons Cove, Gill and both spots were 15" or more of ice. The edges were plenty thick, even by the end of the afternoon. If you want to fish head to the hills and you will find plenty. Good Luck!!!!:D

I think NEoutdoors is a good site even if they arn't very sucessful, they get a few good posts. To bad Bob D can't stand expanding peoples choices, i tell other folks about all the good places to visit and compare notes. A person can make a lot of friends on all these sites. Some sites can get a little snobby if you know what i mean. A BIG PRIVATE CLICK.

I would be interested in a ice fishing trip. The only problem is that I don't have any gear, all my stuff is for open water. But If you bring the tackle, I'll bring the food/grill/and maybe some cold ones.

Bpapi,
Where do you fish? I have weekdays off (Tues./Wed.) and am always looking for someone to go fishing with!
Im in school during the day. I get home around 2 and then have track practice  . Unless I dont go to school then I can only go on weekends. February vacation is coming up so I will have a whole week off.

to bpapi and fisher16 i'm thinking of going to little benton on rt 23 in otis on sunday weather permitting. i have plenty of gear to set you up fisher so don't worry about that also you too bpapi if you need it. they're talking snow and crap for sunday if that happens we'll have to make it another day. i don't want to tangle with the hills on rt 23 in bad weather. i will post later in the week if i'm going. let me know if you're interested.
p.s. if we go we'll be off the ice and home in time for the super bowl

I have Tues/Wed off every week. Don't know what part of the state you are from? I am new to the whole ice fishing thing this year but am doing well with some Bass, Pickerel, Trout, Perch and many pan fish caught.
