tacoma
08-02-2006, 04:11 PM
I think I have heard of the course you shoot at...you know, the one with the elephant kill zones.
That is outstanding if your shooting that from the adult stakes!!! I have been shooting on a course for 6 years and my highest is a 280. You should look into entering the competetions locally!

Jeff actually does shoot 280-290 from youth stakes. However I have yet to beat him from bowhunter stakes and neither can sledneckSmashhead .We
have a shoot in Foxboro next Sun. I say we get the ma anglers out there for a little trash talkin and shooting
arlow

That would be fun! I used to shoot pretty well. Usually between 270 and 290 from the hunter stakes (orange) I even won a couple shoots.
Tell ya what. Lets find a shoot halfway between springfield and foxboro and try that.

If you know of any other 3D shoots ect.you guys can post them in the calender for the site. When the date comes up it will appear at the bottom of the forum. Or if you would like to pm me with the date's locations and other details concerning the event I will be more than happy to post them in the calender for you.

I was going to enter the IBO world qualifiers in NH, but it came up so fast, and in the end i decided to pass up and do it next year. I will shoot from the Adult stakes next time. Even though its not much of a difference, and when i do shoot a couple shots from the adult stakes I beat my dad (:
I will have to go take the bow out tommorrow and take a few shots.
Oh ya, go to the independent shoot. Directions will follow soon, its in foxboro.

July 10--- 3D shoot at Green River Bowmens Club
Ya beat me to it Fisher....LMAO. One thing is that GRBC is way up in greenfield. If we are going to do this we need something more centrally located. Sturbridge to Milford area I would think. That way we can drive a little way east and Buckman and friends dont have to drive to far either.
I cannot remember the association that runs the worcester area shoots.
Here is a webpage with a listing of some shoots.
http://www.3dshoots.com/archery/resultsbystate.php?mnuState=MA&Submit=Find+Archery+Shoots
The closest to a central area are wickaboag in west brookfield and Bay Path archers in southbridge. I know there are clubs in auburn and milford and that area too that hold shoots but cannot find the info.

Some people take these shoots VERY seriously, others are more relaxed and go to have fun. Maintaining a 'fun' attitude is more important than 'winning' IMO.
Maybe we could pick a shoot and have a MA ANGLERS get-together/challenge sometime.

So this is the plan. Post your scores in a new thread and we'll see how everybody shoots. This will be for fun only. I shoot 240 to 250s .If you are a beginner post anyways. We were all learning at one time. If you come to our Foxboro shoot this Sunday and beat Jr. I'll buy you breakfest at the club. So lets have some fun with this, Preseason football starts this week so deer season is coming fast.
