A state trooper puts his lights on to pull a old man over for speeding. when the old man see's the state troopers lights he speeds up, finally after a brief chase the old man pulls over. The state trooper walks up to the old mans car and says" I'm at the end of my shift, if you can tell me why you were speeding and if its an exuse I've never heard before I'll let you go with a warning!
The old man instantly replies: 40 years ago my wife ran off with a state trooper, I thought you were returning her!
The state trooper drove off!
