There are 2 applications that I use quite frequently when looking for directions, especially to new bodies of water for fishing. Both use the same basic imagery, but each has its own specialties.
http://local.live.com/
This site has a straight road map or an aerial view with street name overlays. In some selected areas it has what is called "Birds' Eye View", which is actually low-level airplane photography. This gives some pretty in-depth detailed views of whatewver it is you are viewing.
The other is a download called Google Earth. I went to Google and googled Google Earth(try saying that 3 times fast) to get to the download page. This application shows the name of at least 90 % of the bodies of water that I haved looked at so far(it doesn't show a name for A-1 Site, but does show the name of some smaller bodies such as Peppersmill Pond).
