Guys,
Well I traveled home to Upstate NY this past weekend (No I am not a Yankees fan) got the turkey gun out and I screwed in a new Comp-N-choke into the ole Mossy 935. Ran a few Winchester Supreme 3.5" #5's out of it and scored 101 pellets in the head and neck at 30 yds. Decided to try 60 yds (never shoot this far) for shitz and giggles and I still scored 47 pellets in the neck and head. I also added the Hi-Viz (Tri-Viz) turkey sight on there and it blows away my old tru-glo sights. I also ran remington hevishots and extended range and they shot like crap out of my gun. So much for 40 bones a box!
Long story even longer....I am really happy with the performance of my turkey gun now. I finally got it dialed in after 2 seasons and I can't wait to try it out opening day in MA and May 1st in NY. I tell you one thing if the ole boy steps out from 0-60 yds he had better have his living will signed and notarized because its a done deal!
Was wondering what everyone else has for their turkey hunting shotgun?

Thumbsup

I use a Mossberg 500 with a Jellihead choke and tru glo sights and 3 inch Remington Nitro's. Been saving up for a beretta though. Getting excited though been finding birds almost every evening and i just got permission to hunt a private farm. Lots of long beards

Best of luck on those longbeards! I had a mossberg 500 back in the early 90's and it was a great gun. I bought an 835 and 935 and eventually traded the 500 and 835 in on a brand new remington 7mm-08. I have been looking for birds down here on the Cape but I havent seen or heard any yet. I'm originally from NY and the county I live in is the Turkey Meca for NY. I will be hunting first week here and then I'll be headed to NY for first 2 weeks of the season. I've been trout fishing to take my mind off hunting in the mean time but as the season gets closer I'm starting to lose sleep! LOL

Yeah i Hunt Rensellear County in NY as well but usually only bout 2 weekends a year with an old hunting buddy that moved out there two years ago. If your not having ne luck down there on the cape give me a PM and maybe you can stop out here on saturday before you get out there. I'm not professional but i got a couple of real promising areas.
