Shooting?

Any interest to having a "Shooting Forum" here? Focus being mainly on guns (rifles, pistols & shotguns) and respective topics of concern (legislation, places to shoot, tourneys, etc.). Guess it could go under one of the hunting forums, but shooting and hunting are two different topics in reality. Just curious.

i agree, but the mods on here seme to have a problem with adding new forums and the like...

i say we have a vote by the members yay or nay. and use the poll thing on here to make it fair

First off, MaAngler's doesn't have a polling option the way other sites do. And as you can see from the huge outpouring of support for the idea here, I think it's a lost cause. Wink1

The Mods on this site cannot add forums. Only Administrators have that ability . I have no problem with a shooting forum.

O.K. then Bigbear, what's the next step? Should we just let this thread exist for awile and see how many members are really interested? Or is there a "polling" feature to vote on it? Or do we just request such from the Admin?

Just for instance, there's an intersting thread on the "General" forum entitled, "Gun Control". Right now, there's really no "good" place to focus such concerns. I'm sure a lot of folks here do have this same interest. I'd be very surprised if the didn't!

"Guns, Shooting and Related Topics" - How's that sound? With a forum description underneath indicating, "Other than hunting". Could include such threads as gun control, legislation, concealed carry topics, etc..
