I was also there to check things out on Sunday. I didnt bother bringing my fishing pole as my friends Dad went earlier in the morning and didnt get any hits or shad. When my friends Dad was there I guess someone said an Atlantic Salmon was caught. My friend and I checked out the fish ladder and got a glimpse of a nice Atlantic Salmon in the holding tank. The lady who was giving tours inside the power plant said they might have the ladder running all this year because they are studying fish there. Cool stuff its definatly worth the trip down there to watch the fish in the ladder.

Yup. used that ramp when it was dirt. Not to brag or anything when my kids were growing up we use to camp alot.I would go to the sporting goods store dressed like a real tourist. You wouldnt beleave the info they would give up.This guy in upper new york gave up one off his best trout spots and sold me a topo map so i could find it .When i showed him pics of his pond and his fish he wasn't to happy were talkin like 8 miles into no where he just couldn't beleave i took a 4 wheel pickup into this spot and neither could my wife and kids.So anyways yes i do know were the ramp is.if your going after stripers i'll let you know now that i just got into fishing for these fish but i do have a few lures .It takes me about 40 minnuts to get to the ramp so a little notice would be good. I'll drop you a pm when I get another shot of getting out there on the night before. I have a ton of gear that I am willing to share. I usually mostly plastics, and topwater. The storms that were moving into the area tonight fizzed out around my house but it looked pretty interesting to the North.
