Another Quabbin Question

Which Gate would be the best one for bringing a few 10-12 years olds shore fishing from and which Rte is it off ?

The kid was taking stocked bows outta the Nash--------- whatever in Easthampton last week as were some other kids. We tossed all ours back.

I dont fish from shore but i would go to gate 8.I'v caught some pretty good fish along the shore line left of the parking lot.

If I were you I would go to 43 and rent a boat on the Potapaug pond side and fish there. Something about going out on the boat always makes it more fun for kids i think.

I agree with Arlow, rent a boat on Potapaug pond. Smaller body of water, lots of panfish and bass within easy reach. Go to Ware center via rt 9, in the center of town is North st, follow north st to it's end and take a right. Follow that road a few miles and the entrance to gate 43 is on the right. Well marked.
