Right now there are several regs at the Q which no one checks or enforces. That could be changing. Just be aware Wink1. BTW, I'm not (yet) opposed to such a thing....how about you?

She checked out that vessel better than my Dr. did on my last physical.
Where do you hide the beer? I understand the plant stuff, and muscles, but that inspection is a little aggresive in my opinion.

I agree check the live wells maybe but the rest IMHO is a bit out of line . I our state they need to spend more time bothering the people without fishing licence and keeping illegal fish !

i saw this happen last year at webster lake. i was out drivin around lookin for the launch at the south end. as i pull up a boat is pullin in to launch, the dfw guy asked if he was up for a voluntary inspection...the guy says ok and was on the ramp for 5 mins as the guy went thru the inspection with the boat owner. i wonder if they are gettin this ready??

any word on that jeeps???

I was stopped last year on the seas by our friendly CG. Boy in charge asked when the last time I had an "Official Coast Guard Inspection" I looked at the window sticker and said the Auxilliary inspected me in 1998.
"Prepare to be boarded" the crewmaster stated. They run your driver's license and everything. But they didn't inspect every hold of the ship.

why don't they start putting more effort in to useful things like busting people that keep huge buckets of fish that are undersized and don't have licenses?

bingo Agree1 they spend all there time drivin around bustin the arse of the guys who pay the registration fees, license fees, trailer fees, boating course fees along with thousands of dollars into the local economy for gear - and then they let the guys walk away with a bucket of undersize fish and no license Bash1 MachineGun Smashhead MachineGun Mad1

How about putting some of the Environmental Police money into some new ramps . I go to Maine and they have less revenue and better rampsNotsure . This state stinks sometimes .

Those California reserviours are like Quabbin only much more protected. They dont want invasive species to get in the lakes especially where they dont have enough water to go around in the first place. Comparing our DEC to theirs is not really fair.

They will fine you because your driving a new bass boat so they figure you have the money to pay,as to where the guy on shore fishing with the beer can and has is limit and no money can't afford the fine.I grew in south hadley falls and lived fishing below the bridge for 18yrs not once did I ever see or hear EPO ask anyone fishing on the bridge for there liscense.I would like to know how many of them are legal maybe 20% if that.

not sure what they can do about the guys fishing with cans and string. i know if you dont have a fishing liscense they can take your gear temporarily till you pay the fine and buy a liscense. taking there can and some string isnt going to stop them. they could just show up the next day at the oxbow and make a new fish catching device out of trash on the shore line. i hope the epos bother them enough to keep em out but it wont stop them from eating.

They can fine the scumbags and when they dont pay their fines they can issue warrants. Then they go to jail till they pay their fines and fee's. Pretty simple.

And if you see something, and call the EPO's, they never show up. I watched some let's say non-Americans, catch small striper after striper at a ramp one afternoon. I made the call. Sounded like I was disturbing someone at the other end. Lady says she would report it. I waited an hour, no one showed. The guys left with a bucket load of 13-18" bass.
