I've heard and/or read a few posts here and there about Sherman Pond in Brimfield. Can anyone tell me where on the pond you can launch a canoe from? Notsure

Also, how about any ponds that are canoe friendly(a serious lack of large boats and jet skis). Sometimes I just like to fish in peaceful, quiet surroundings.Fishing1

Turn off rt 20 at the lights in the center of Brimfield where the monument with the cannons is. (Brookfield Rd) follow this about 3/4 mile on your right will be Cubles Dr. Follow this road along the pond where it takes a sharp left there is a small public access area. It is a dirt launch area that you could put in a smaller boat and trailer but it's perfect for a canoe or car topper boat. I mainly ice fish this pond it has a mixed bag of fish bass, crappie, yellow and white perch, and the ever popular pickerel. The largest bass I've seen caught there is 4 3/4 lbs. My daughter got it through the ice a number of years ago.
