I finally connected. I held out for a Tom as long as I could but decided with the last week of Mass Turkey upon me that I would settle for a Jake. It weighed 14lbs with about a 3 to 4 inch beard. Nothing special but it made my morning. Couldn't fish with the rivers acting like super rapids so went turkey hunting in the rain. I guess I was rewarded!!! Enjoy the pictures!

Congrats on the bird. Hell of a lot better to get a jake than to go home with only soggy boots and a wasted turkey permit. There's always the fall season for the tom.

Congrats nice pics glad to see that you got one. Beerchug

I was out in New York over the weekend. Along the highway we came across a couple of flocks of turkeys one had a large group of hens with him. Must have been the dominate bird of the group he was doing his thing, and he was a big bird.

Have been marinating the turkey breasts in a honey garlic sauce for two days. And tonight they shall be slowly cooked on the grill and downed with some ice cold beer. I'll let you know how it tastes!!!!
