Got out of work at noon on friday picked up a buddy in sunderland off to CToutfiffers.Picked up a new rod and real and a few lures home bye 4 pm.sat up and out early went for coffee thinking on what to do.Had all the fishing gear in the truck headed to the boat ramp in infield by bigalow for some shore fishing nothing.Headed over to kings island fished of the ledge for about a hr. nothing now whatSmashhead .Never been to haddam ramp so off i go Grinning1 3 guys fishing from shore using sand worms they hadn't caught a thing i stayed there for about a hr. nothing.Eyeball Roller well on the road again this time i headed to the salom ramp that i'v never been to either fished that ramp you guessed it nothing again.So now im thinking what the hell i'm pretty close to the baldwin ramp (under the 95 bridge) haven't been there in years when i got there i couldn't beleave the ramp all tar a dock to fish off really a nice ramp.(last time i was there it was a dirt ramp) YUP 1 fish all of 5 inchsBeerchug Didn't give up yet head to westbrook and fished off of a dock there was a few other guys fishing no one had caught a thing.After driveing 267 miles and not haveing a thing to show for it besides a empty wallet and two new boat ramps.I head home

Hey Yote....I'm going to start a gas distillery to make sure there is enough for your next fishing excursion!

Can't fault you for your efforts. Sometimes you just gotta pay your dues and sign the blues.

I kindof had a similiar experience. I drove all the way up to Hampton Beach this weekend ate some seafood and drove back. Ended up not taking 495 back and instead got on 95 south not knowing. About a half hour later I was in dowtown Boston. Then took 90 west. The rain was so abd out there you couldnt see 20ft in front of your car. My truck was hydroplaning all over the road. I guess at least I got out of the house but still it costed me a fortune in gasoline.
