Well Ive been stuck inside now for well over 2 days and am really getting sick of this. I wonder how the Shad derby is doing with this weather? Question1

Yikes I don.t know about the derby ,but I went down to the Chicopee ramp after lunch yesterday and there were a lot of open parking spots... Considering that there was a bass tournament at the same time that does not say to much for the number of people boat fishing or fishing in general..Water was still riseing and was like log and mud soup.. Fishing1

Checked out a couple small streams yesterday. They weren't. Small, that is. Gonna check the Swift this afternoon, if it's up I'm gonna hit the Gin Mill and drown my sorrows...

Some areas of Massachusetts have been placed by the Governor on a State of Emergency. There is a ton of rain falling just to the north/east of us.

I was up in Vermont yesterday when it wasn't raining here in the afternoon. It was pouring hard, and was still pouring hard this morning. All that water will be draining into the rivers, and I am sure they will rise alot more than what they are at now.

Be safe out there and use common sense no need for any injuries or accidents. Its not worth it.

Checked the nortfied ramp on my way to NH for cigars water was up at least 3 feet same with the sunderland ramp. Sunday

i went to the weigh in station near the fish ladder and the guy said only 4 fish were weighed in all day. and none from the conn river all were caught at granby road. myself and a few of the regulars from slim including slim himself packed it in about 9 am. the water was to muddy and nobody got so much as a hit. i hope this coming weekend will be better. also 5lbs 10 oz is leading.

Even a lot of ponds are going to be high and muddy with all the run off from this rain. The only pond I can think of that probably won't be affected too bad is Big Alum.
