In your opinion is this a waste of time do to the rain and cold front we are haveing.I'm also going to C.T Outfitters this fri. for a new rod and real. That is going to be used for larger fish stripers blues ect any suggestionQuestion1

If you are looking to fish the CT river near the Farmington mouth you are probably better off launching under the Bissel Bridge (Rt.291). The Farmington itself will be kind of tricky to navigate with the water being so low. The island at the Farmington mouth is a short run up from the bridge. As far as waste of time...isn't that the idea?

I take that back...the news just reported that the Famington will likely be flooded by tomorrow. You're going to have to scope out the launches and make a judgement call. Lots of guys think the rain will spark the bite, though.

Never boated the Deerfield...I'll take your word for it.
You really did check out most of the launches...thanks for the scouting report.

Sorry about that Yote I don't now how I missed your post but I did. I have been a little under the weather. The storm front last week did mess up the fishing. The storm front this week pushed the river levels up quite a bit. I would wait a couple of more days due to minor flooding down Ct. Hopefully by Saturday/Sunday the river will be back to nicer conditions. I am hoping this higher water will get the fish moving over the next couple of days. I haven't been out on the river since Monday of last week due to illness, and mother nature. I was hoping to go today/night but its not looking good either.
