Just wanted to inform or refresh everyone about the Holyoke G&E Shad Derby. For further information you can visit the link provided. http://www.hged.com/html/shadderby.html
Good luck to everyone who enters, and be safe on the water. I'll be out and about on both weekends of the tournament. I'll have the camera for pics and will post them as soon as I can with updates. Get your darts ready, and take a kid fishing with you if you can.

Theres no way that you are going to be fishing for shad, when you know that the cows will be lurking the waters!

Fisher let me know what time and day you will be on the river. Maybe I can sneak away from work early and be out there in the afternoon.

I would like to get out in the afternoon on Saturday. But by the looks of the Weather I wait it out. If I do I'll send you a pm on Friday, don't like to be play dodge tree in the river if you know what I mean. Kinda like dodge ball, but has more severe penalities. Grinning1

Keep in mind that there is a Bass Tourney being held on Sat. at the Medina Street boat launch. Could get up to 30 boats for just that event alone.

Keep in mind we may have low water levels if we don't get the 3 inches of rain they predict for the next 3 days. The down side of the heavey rain will be filthy water and log dodgeing time... The water this am was below the crack in the Chicopee ramp and was still going down...

The rain started at 3:30 a.m. I know because I was working in it. I don't like working in the rain, but don't mind fishing in it.
Here's the pic of the rain maker we are going to have visiting us for the next couple of days. This storm is wrapped tight:

by Saturday Am, those bass boats will have a very hard time at the ramp. The water was so low that the ramp drops straight down, for a 16' or under light aluminum boat, its a little tricky, for a 21' bass boat its going to be tough.
I still think the river is going to be to HIGH by Sunday not to metion very dirty........
