Usually run my equipment with NiCads, but last weekend was headed to the shore, needed 8 AA's for the portable VHF radio, figured buy 12, spares for the digital. 8 cells into the radio, she works fine. Two into the camera, nothing. Hmmmm, ok, toss those, insert the remaining 2, again, nothing. OK, maybe the old camera has an issue. Charge a few NiCads in the car, drop them in, camera is fine. Guess it does not like the batteries for some reason. Check the voltages when I got home, all 1.6 or better.
Attended a wedding this weekend, someone needed power, Hey, I got 4 you can have, did not work in their equipment either?
Anybody ever run into this before?Notsure

Had the same problem our 1st day in Alaska, used some inferior(everready) batteries and they didn't work, went to the ship store and overpaid for some kodak rechargables and the camera worked fine the rest of the trip. guess the cameras need higher end batteries
