Had three small jakes come in. I am holding out for the Toms!

goin shock calling tonite and gettin the spots lined up for sat. cant miss anyschool, unless we get a big tom tonite lol.

Its a toss up for me tomorrow. My hunting partner has come down with the flu and is out of commisssion. So I guess I'll be hitting the river in the a.m. before the rain begins again. I wish I had my Ct. hunting license I've seen them walking the shore lines in Glastonbury and Weathersfield.

Roosted a Tom this evening. He is with three hens and 7 Jakes. We are going after him in the morning with the video camera...hopefully it sounds great in the morning!!!

My buddy connected this morning! We had 3 Toms going like crazy but they wouldn't come all the way. So I had my buddy try to sneak up while I kept calling. It worked great because they met in the middle...lets just say this bird got a free ride in the pickup truck!!!

17 lbs/ 9 1/2 inch beard and 7/8 spurs

had a big tom with four hens strutting around in my back yard when i got out of school gonna blast him sat if the keep roosting on our property

Buddy of mine shot a 14 pound turkey today, he said a bigger one was in the area but time was running out. Boom he took the shot.Grinning1

Got in the woods at about 5:00 and set up in the field while he tom was gobbling as we set up the decoys
after calling and callin tryin to get him in, he starts to move away, we set up again, same thing, we set up on his strutting ridge, he walks past at about 50 yards, no shot, instead of strutting up on his ridge he just kept walkin and gobbling. then after that we headed over to foxboro to hunt. a nother guy is just gettin out of his truck as we are goin in. we are walkin in with him when we see a tom cross the road, he tells me and my dad to set up on the road while he goes into a diff. spot, we begin lookin for another spot to set up, while im 20 yards down the road, a tom begins to come out of the woods, right towards my dad...to bad i had the gun, lol. so i try to go over there and get a shot but it dissapeared behind a rock, so we set up and wait, nothing, then move into the woods and hear a gobble, so we start to try to call and it shut right up. will try there again next weekend.

Thats to bad buck, I'm sure you'll get that smart bird next time. Sounds like you had an exciting day as it was. I love hearing those birds in the woods in the early morning.

Alright...you guys arnt gunna believe this but its all true here it goes...

We set up on an old loggin road/ trail at 430 AM this morning, we set up the decoys and all, about 15 yards out, and at about 5:00am i called in the weirdest bird i have ever seen...
Here comes this guy,heres wat he is wearing...boots and socks...ya NOTHING ELSE! here he comes walking down, the most nude you can get, looks at the decoys, at this point i go, dad, look at this, whispering, my dad looks over, he is standing there for about 1 minute, do i shoot it? lol, he starts walking and we just start laughing soooo hard, this guy was naked, 15 yards out...Where the heck did he come from, its allll woods where he came from. So later on we are talkin to this 2 guys who were hunting as well, and told them the story, guess what, they saw him to, This guy crossed the road, nothing on remember, and went right over to the land fill area.Question1 I guess he decided to go on a little stroll?Question1
