Anyone interested in a fishing trip sometime this summer?? If there is enough interest we could get a bunch of us together for the first annual maanglers fishing trip. Hook up with one of the party boats or charters for some fishing. If we did a charter it would probably be only limited to six people but if we did a larger party boat we could have up to thirty plus members. What types of species fish would you like to target?

Post your suggestions/locations where you would want to fish. The majority rules.

The current list of members and friends signed up to go is: 22 people
We are looking for Thirty but if it doesn't change then we will go with what we have.
Currently signed up for the trip is:
Bpapi plus 5 to 10
Fishstory plus 5

Im definatly game for that. I would be up for any sort of trip. Cod, stripers, fluke, blues anything. If we only get a little interest we could always go on the Mijoy 747 in Waterford Ct. Its always a blast killing the blues at the Race.

but have had nothing but bad experiences on the Mijoy. I believe we could rent out the Black Hawk if we had enough people. Years ago we used to go on the Sea Shadow, the guy was awesome, that boat isn't around anymore is it???

Regardless to what boat we go one or what we do, lets start looking into it. I can make a few calls, and see how many people we need to rent out a boat, maybe we could take on the Ct guys? Sounds like a great time regardless.

Dancing girls on a charter trip would be pretty interesting. We would have to make a custom pole to climb on. Wife would ask, "Why do you need all those dollar bills when your going fishing? Um, OH, I don't know just in case I get thirsty.

A bunch of my friends would be game for this trip. I can probably get a good 5 or 10 friends that would be willing to go.

We have twelve if bpapi has five, if theres ten then we would have seventeen people. If you want to bring someone with you thats fine as well. Trying to make it reasonable for everyone. Still have to decide on a date. We are open to suggestions and willing to work around schedules to get this going.

Fishstory I see a definate five. I see a possible number of ten. I'll put you in for five for now and if it changes let me know. Come on guys we could car pool and share the cost of fuel to and from.

We have to decide on a Date? July or August The reason why I picked those two months is there seems to be more fish and bait in the area and its a little warmer.

Lets get this event scheduled.

Fisker how much would it be for Thirty guys aboard the sunbeam5. I forgot about that smaller boat that does larger parties. We only need eight more and we will have thirty people

Guys we are looking for dates start throwing them out there so we can get this thing moving. Only one week won't work for me other than that I'm open to suggestions. The week of July 22-28.

they are asking 170 an hour for the boat

fisher16
06-06-2006, 10:54 PM
Thanks for posting fisker. So If I do the math right. If we do a 8 hour trip on this boat at a $170.00 per hour it would equal 1,360.00 divided by thirty people it would be per person around $45.00 and throw in another 10.00 dollars a person for the mate making it $55.00 a person. Thats not a bad price.

I am thinking about doing a weekday trip that way there would be less boat pressure and possibly more fish to catch. If we also want to add another five dollars per person make it a even $60.00 and we can all pitch in five dollars for donation to maanglers.com per person. What do you guys think?

So far we only have 22 people signed up. Making the cost of the trip rise if the numbers stay the same.

So If I do the math right. If we do a 8 hour trip on this boat at a $170.00 per hour it would equal 1,360.00 divided by 22 people it would be per person around $61.00 and throw in another 10.00 dollars a person for the mate. This would give the mate a $220.00 payment. Making the price higher to $71.00 a person. Thats still not a bad price for a eight hour trip.

If we also want to add another five dollars per person make it a even $76.00 and we can all pitch in five dollars for donation to maanglers.com per person. What do you guys think?

To the members who are signed up how does August 16th 2006 sound?? Its only June so that give members enough time to plan ahead. If this date is no good for the majority of members then we can decided on another date.

I hope so. I will move this thread to the Anglers Partners Forum after this weekend to see if we can draw some more interest. I would like if we can get a couple of more members interested in this trip. But if not and if everyone agree's on paying a little extra then we will go from there. Stay tuned for further updates ect.

What kind of trip is it? the yankee that goes out of harwich is a 60 foot boat where you fish on the bottem for scup, black sea bass, and other bottem fish, it was a pretty good time when i went with my grandfather.

I was thinking about a striper/bluefish trip, or if others have any suggestions they would be welcomed. It could be either of these two area's Massachusetts Coast or LIS Ct shoreline. I will go by the majority of what members want so I'm flexible. Start throwing out suggestions guy's. Maybe we could hash out further details before the end of the month.

Do they run a blues and striper trip out of MA? I know Ct does with the Blackhawk and Mijoy. I would really like to have an outing like this or at least another outing either on a lake or even surf fishing if anyone is interested before the end of summer.

Jay same with me that would sounds like it would be a good time. Maybe we can talk more about it at the outing Saturday. August is wide open for me for fishing events.

I'll do a little reseach on some boats out of Eastern Mass for larger groups for Stripers and Blues, and other species.

Anyone still up for this or a private Six Pack charter for some bigger species?
