Anyone in here using the Hornady leverlution ammo? I'm thinking of getting a box for my 30-30 and using it this Deer Season but don't want to waste the $$$ if they suck.

Mack, the 30/30 with it's 150 grain flatnosed bullet has probably taken more animals period than any other cartridge designed. Why mess with success. If you were using a TC Contender or some single action, well, that's a different story. Buy the old standby. Site in the gun, and shoot it a lot.

Looks like a good idea, especially if you're in an area where longer shots are a possibility. Don't know how it compares $$-wise with regular ammo. Are they making the bullets available to reloaders yet or is it still loaded-ammo-only? It would be pricey to shoot large quantities for practice if you have to buy factory...
