Uncle sounds interesting. Kinda far though but maybe if someone wanted to prospect it together. I think this stuff is neat and old glass bottles are very cool looking. Its none of this all plastic junk we use today.

i know that quabbin has many cellar holes on the property among the many gate roads that we have access to. it means a lot walking in the woods searching for them and a little knowledge of the land might set you up with a good find, if you have access to a metal detector this could be a big bonus also.

Jay there is a good spot on the westfield river in West Spfld. Dug up many nice old bottles there when I was a kid. If you're interested pm me and I'll give you more specifics.

Jay where are ;you located? I have a few places I know of. One is right behind my house,we have taken a few old bottles that are shaped like upright pigs and one shaped like a bear. A few bottles that held extract that where closed with a cork. onteresting stuff.
