Are you willing to fish the river at night in search of Large Catfish then this is your opportunity to give it your all. Last year we hosted the first MAanglers.com Catfish Tournament and had a great time and great food. Thanks to all who participated last season hope to see you again on June 29, 2007.

When: June 29, 2007

Where: Ct River Massachusetts waters only Boundaries Holyoke Dam to the MA/Ct Line on the Ct. River

Time: 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Time maybe extended if the group decides to go longer. Decision can be made on tournament night.

Launching Facilities: Medina Street Boat Launch or Jones Ferry Boat Launch. Weigh Station will be set up at the end of the night at Jones Ferry Boat Launch on the Dock. No Dead Fish please. Supporting Catch and release.

Species: Catfish

Bait: Anybait will do as long as it's not prohibited under Massachusetts Law.

Special Considerations: All Boating Rules/Regulations Apply. Must have lighting on boat in order to participate and lights must be illumed during the tournament after dark.

Cost: $5.00 per angler, prize money goes to the biggest fish (Weight)

Food: If members would llike to have a cookout before fishing then we could start at 5:00 p.m. Make it simple hotdogs/hamburgs, and some pasta salad or whatever. Something along those lines. Drinks BYOB, or Soda, Juice ect.

Seabass has offered to let members the use of his beautiful home on the river for the cookout.

Say we meet for 4:00 p.m. at his house for the cookout and money drop then hit the river for 6:00 p.m. if members are interested.

Tac, there's going to be beer involved? Now this is beginning to sound like fun. Boat's in Brimfield, but if the bearings cooperate, I could be there. I'll keep the post notified.

Yes, Im pretty sure you can fish from shore. That is probably what Im going to be doing this year unless my buddies want to come and take their boat out. The only hard part would be keeping the fish alive for the weigh in.

theres a lot of room on and around my dock. ill be on my dock and theres some room for a couple more.
the river bank on this side is muddy so bring/wear boots if your shore fishin.

Call me confused. The Legion has a tourney this week, guys here are planning one the weekend after? All sort of posts regarding something, I am away every weekend and lose track of the ideas during that time. Is there a Striper gig, and a Whiskey tourney, a Dine and Fish evening? I have the boat here and would like to fish the evening with my kid as a partner either way. Question: I read members only somewhere, is that the rule? Can I register for him if it is? How's the River, level wise, seeing no rain in the future?And what brand of brew does Seabass stock for company? LOL.

Its pretty much bring your own Beer, and please be responsible if you decide to Drink. If you would like to bring some food by all means. Seabass has offered Members Only to his home and the use of his Grill/Fryer. Members only. This is a Catfish Tournament Only.

I don't know of any other plans for us next Friday, I know that there has been some talk about a future outing but no set plans for that one yet.

Look at the first post for the important details. Time, Location, Ramps Jones Ferry/Medina Streets, Weigh In will happen on the Dock at Seabass house at the end of the tourny. I will fill the rest of the infomation on Friday the 29 to participating members before Grill time.
