I have been thinking about regulary holding a contest (once a month) open to all members on the site. The contest will be for fish of the month or photo of the month however you want to call it. More rules and information will follow as I develope this idea. I need opinions though from other members about this. Any and all opinions are apreciated as I think this site should hold contests like this because it can be a lot of fun.

Me and Papi have been discussing this and think that its a great idea for the site. However we need other members feedback about this. Prizes will also be awarded for winners of the contest. The contest might be tough since its a young site but it is worth having down the road or even soon.

Possible prizes include gift certficate to sporting goods store, MAanglers.com apparel, stickers, custom title for message board etc. We are still trying to work on this so nothing is definate yet.

Contest would be a great idea and would probably lead to a lot of pictures being posted.

How do you propose to raise the funds for the prises?

Would you you accept donations from the forums members.

Maybe request a fee from those that want to participate. Then limit the winners to those that have sent a fee.

I don't really know how to handle it, but I think it would be fun.:D

Im not really worried about the funds and all. The google ads that I placed on these forums bring in revenue each month plus I dont really care taking money out of my pocket. It costs money to get a web community going so I dont have a problem in it. Plus i think this can be a fun and great idea for all.

I think this is a good idea. I am always taking pictures with my digital camera and this would be a great way to share them with people!!! Glad to be aboard
