Posting a web site address?

O.K., what's the trick here? I know how to post pictures on the site, but when I copy a web site address and try to post it, I get nothing? I open the "insert" icon and "paste" it in there, like I would a pic, but no dice. Help! The only way I've been able to do it is by typing in the http address via my keyboard. Is this the only way?

Are you useing the insert link button? The one with a pic. of the world with a link? The one next to the insert image button.

You can also highlight the url that you want and right click it and press copy. Then in the post just right click again and press paste.

I know what I was doing wrong now, I think. I was using the picture insert icon vs. the link insert icon :) What do you know! Thanks for straightening me out guys.
