I used to play this as a when I was a kid (Civil War Era), played with my son, nieces, nephews, and now my grandson. Kids love it! Once you do play it with them they will always be asking you, "Can we play Dart Fishing Tournament?" Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1 Tongue1
All you need are some darts, a little string or fish line and a deck of cards.
Take around ten foot of string and secure it to the end of the darts or just wrap it around the top of the threads in the dart and tighten the thread.
Take the deck of cards and spread them out randomly face down on the ground.
Set whatever distance you want to play at and start throwing the darts at the cards. When the dart goes through the card you get to reel it it in!
The other players can try to catch (throw their darts at it) your fish while your reeling it in too! Sometimes just reeling it in the card will come off just like losing a fish before you get um to the shore or the boat. Cards that are reeled in all the way goes in that player's "live well".
Numbered cards are inch fish (size) and score the value of the card.
Face cards values are as follows:
Jackfish=11, Queenfish=12, Kingfish=15, Acefish=20.
Once all the cards have been caught you add up everyones score and the highest one wins!
It is really a great way to play with the kids or you can just show them how to play to get them out of your hair. Guaranteed they will love it!!
Have fun.
