Was scouting around my town the other day and came across what looked like would be a great trout stream. Fast moving current with some deep pools and shade too. The stream runs behind my friends house and he says that his father caught some 8" trout back there. Im going to check it out and give it a shot.

I am sure you know but try throwing a thomas gold into that stream with deep pools. Toss against the bank let it drop 3 feet and then reel in slow...letting the current do the work! This technique works wonders in the brooks where I grew up...especially in early spring. Good luck and let us know how you do!

or floating power eggs 1 foot away from a tinny split shot.

try to figure out the name of it in a map book or some other source. See if there is any info on it or maybe its stocked...you never kno. you could have a gold mine there.

I might know where your talking about, back in the day I may have fished that area as well. Does it run underneath City view, and empty into the river. If so just downstream of that stream we used to catch some pretty decent sized pickerl, and nice bass. Its where all the geese hang out. Haven't fished that area in 10 years wow I'm getting old. Good luck I am sure if this is the same spot there are some nice trout in that stream.

Fisher sounds just about right Grinning . The stream flows underneath city view and then into the river just upstream from the Mill. It looks liek a nice little spot in the woods so I might try it out. There is also another great spot where I see cars and trucks parked all the time by the Golf Course. Ive heard that there are native trout in there. The old farmer used to tell me stories about how after a rain storm he would walk down there and catch a basket full of fish to eat.

The only problem that you may run into is just after the falls where I told you I used to catch big pickerl, and bass. It used to be posted no trespassing but that was back when I was in middle school to high school. I haven't seen any signs recenlty. The person that owned the property then lived/lives in the brick house on the right hand side. Don't know who ownes it now. I was just wondering about the area you mentioned by the farm. Looks nice,

There was a grey 4X4 out in the field this afternoon. Looked to see if anyone was fishing near the road but didn't see anyone.
