This thread should help other members get a better idea where everyone likes to go fishing at and for what species of fish.

I personally love fishing at the Cape. I dont do that much freshwater out there Im more into surf fishing from Nauset Beach and the Dennis/Yarmouth Bass River Area. Caught some nice blues and stripers right at the mouth of the Bass River at night drifting eels. At Nauset we have come into many blues blitzes and have caught one after the other. Its really neat to see the birds diving down and the water churning as the blues destroy everything in their path. Grinning

For freshwater species I fish the Westfield River, Congomond, Hampton Ponds, Otis Resivoir, another pond in Otis but forget the name really great trout fishing, Ct River upper/lower stretches, a couple of lakes up in Pittsfield.

Saltwater species, I launch out of Niantic fish the race, and several of the inshore spots on the way in and out, and inshore reefs. When the action picks up I late June,July, August I love to travel offshore in search of Mako's, Threshers, Tuna, or whatever else is willing to bite the end of live, dead, or trolled bait/lures.

I've always had a fondness for the Quinapoxet and Seven Mile Rivers in Worcester County. Haven't been back there for a few years, maybe I'll take a ride...

The East and West Branches of the Swift, for small stream trouting at it's best. The Quabog River, 'cause it's nearby. The Deerfield, 'cause it's not.

Forgot to add Chatham area. Anywhere from Morris Island tip to Chatham Light its awesome. You can also see seals swimming by as they are a little problem because they sometimes scare the fish off.
