Just went out back to retrieve my pictures, wind was blowin slightly east and I was heading west, as I got to my trail that cuts into the woods from the powerlines I hear a noise, so I croutch down low behind a big tree. From my left I see some deer heading my way, they keep get closer and closer, soon they are about 15 feet away "3 does" they stop and start eating something for what felt like forever, but was proballya good 2-3 minutes, then they continue toward the deer cam, as I get up to head back toward my house I hear more sound coming from the same direction the does just came from, again I get behind the tree, first I see the deer, then the rack, he comes right down and cuts thru just before the does did, about 25 feet from me. A nice 8 pointer, but he didn't slow down, it appeared he was in hot pursuit! I slowly got up and headed home only to hear more noise coming from the south west, again I get low and then I see the turkeys.....It was pretty exciting, and I'm hoping the buck past the cam, he was a nice one! I would have to say thatis the closest I've ever been to a deer on the ground.
