Panasonic just launched a new waterproof, shockproof camera. This thing even has GPS! If any of you try it, post a review. The waterproof, shockproof Canon I bought 3 years ago has been awesome, but some day it will give out.

I posted a link to the press release below.

I used to burn through 2 digital cameras a year by dropping them in the water. Having a waterproof one has been worth the investment.

Be careful of those cameras (and phones) that have GPS capabilities, people can and/or will be able to find out EXACTLY where the pic was taken!!! AKA-Geotagging.

Therefore, ruining you're secret "Honey Hole" Wink1

I have one of it's predicessors the panasonic dmc-ts2. I like it well enough. It seems rugged as hell and I have put it through the test including using it under water and in single digit temps. It has performed well, but it does not take as good a picture as my previous Lumix and I miss the 12x zoom. It's the price you pay i guess for the rugged package. The new ones are probably better.

Not to change the subject. Has anyone used the underwater video cameras. Some of them run a couple hundred bucks and come with monitor and 60 ft of cable. Seem cool. Just wondering of a quality unit?
