Im currently doing a research paper in my college writing class on the Cape Cod Wind Farm. Ive known about this project for about 2 years now and have had many mixed emotions about it. It would be nice to see what others think about this project.

I guess it effects the people that live near them more. Most of these people are very rich to afford houses with views of them. I can see where fisheries could potentially be harmed also.

would not harm the enviornment. If anything they would provide additional structure for offshore fisheries.

The reason they are opposed is that the fat cats, on the Cape, Vinyard, Nantucket are worried about thier view of the ocean. Remember these are folks that have no problem paying their electric and other utility bills. Us blue collar folks wind up at their mercy.

The wind farms are capable of producing a large amount of electricity and reducing our dependence on foreign energy supplies:( .

I have also heard that the wind farms kill alot of birds. But I think they were in the process of making more friendly enviroment types of rotors. I saw a show or some type of newscast on NECN about wind farms. That would probably be a good place to look first concerning the issues.

Those Rich Poeple Live A Great Life But I Think Us Blue Collar Guys Apreciate Life More Wich Is Why They Complain About The View Instead Of Thinking Of How It Will Help The Enviroment Besides Anything That Stops Those Netters mutha#%*@$%s From Ruining More Ocean Bottoms Is More Than Fine With Methe Commercial Fleets Get Tons We Get The Shaft

Some of the folks that live on the islands don't even see us when they walk down the street! Of course most of them don;t know when to come in out of the rain unless the butler tells um to.:D

Theres nothing wrong with building a wind farm. People who object to it are rich people with ocean views.

Im still up in the air about it. Would like to see some data on how they are going to run the power lines and how they are going to anchor the towers to the bottom. Before I say yes or no

I just got back from Costa Rica .....they have Huge windmill farms across the mountain ridge before the Pacific....they were majestic, very beautiful. Creating electricity with no pollution and little cost .....hmmmmm are we missing something here ???

Oh and while I'm at it .....there should be no such thing as a "private beach" ....the ocean and its approaches should belong to everyone.....rich or poor....they can have there houses with views of the ocean, but I want to picnic on the beach !!!

Should belong to all of us, I agree. Unfortunately many fat-cat politicians own places by the shore. Don't think they are going to change the rules to let all the "commoners" picnic and destroy thier idealic settings.

the Cape Wind project is in trouble. This week, as early as today, Congress will vote on a bill that would give Governor Romney the power to veto the project. Please go to www.capewind.org (http://www.capewind.org/) and learn more about how you can help. Send a letter to your legislators telling them that you support Cape Wind and are opposed to this backdoor amendment. Even if you are not from Massachusetts, you can still take action.

It seems that if this new regulation (Coast Guard Bill) comes into affect, then it will put an end to the planned Wind Farm. They want all offshore wind farms to be placed at least 1.5 miles away from the nearest major sipping lane.

Boy that would make for some good structure fishing around all those turbines. Install them now! Which "sipping lane" are you talking about, probally the one near Teds house. There is always alot of "sipping" going on there! Boy those liberals want wind turbines, but not in thier back yard!

I feel that one of the wind turbine bases should be planted right in Kennedy's arse. It's certainly a big enough to provide a stable platform for the propellers.
