I have a buddy that I fish with and he and I try to go out the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving every year but it may not happen this year (again) because we are going away and may not return until Friday. We also try to fish for our Birthdays in July, but that doesn't always happen either. We started out as fishing buddies and became really good friends over the years. Wished I could say that I was going out Friday, but hope you get out. Did you ever try the Chicopee River? For a small river there are some huge fish in it and several coves that offers shore fishing if you don't have an available boat. We have fiished it after Thanksgiving but just to be on the safe side bring a big spoon just in case you need to break the ice if you fish a cove. We had that problem one year. Had to use a big Daredevle one year.
