Some people have asked how to dress hooks - here is a quick tutorial.
Here is how you tie the material of your choice on a trebel hook to add some flash to your lure.
You can use Bucktail, Krystal flash, Flashabou, etc... your choice.
You will need a means to hold the hook - bench vise will work, fly tying vise better, fly tying thread (sewing thread will work), a fly tying bobbin, and fingernail polish or head cement to glue the thread.
First step - make several wraps around the hook shank with the thread

Next take 3 equal bunches of material of your choice and place them around the hook equally - tie one section on, rotate the hook,

tie another section on, rotate the hook,

tie the last section on, clip off the ends near the hook eye, and wrap the thread to the eye of the hook. Keep wrapping around the shank of the hook back and forth til you end up with a nice looking head.

Last step is to coat the thread with either fingernail polish or head cement. Either will work. Good luck!
