talked to to my dad the other day with a report maine, He said he saw 2 does, a buck that he didnt get a shot on. My dad called this morning to say that his freind tommy shot a nice buck, i was a sleep, so i dont have any details. Its toms first buck (ever), he has been hunting for 10+ years, he just has no luck! lol. So they spent the day yesterday dragging the big boy out. I will give details when i talk to him today.

My dad just got home from maine. It rained every single day up there, except the day they got the deer. It was also 67* when they left the camp this Morning. Not the best weather, but they had fun. Heres some pics.

Just called my dad. heres the story i got....

They hiked into a very remote location called satell pond, VERY long hike. My dad set tommy up on a location where he knows they cross, not ten minutes later my dad hears a shot. tommy shot a big 6 pointer, 175 dressed. As they were guting this deer out, they here snorting, so my dad gets up with his gun, and goes within 50 yards of them, 2 does walk out, but the buck stayed in, so he never got a shot off. They are going to go into the same area monday.
I might go up there this week for the last 4 days.

Awesome, really great pic's to bad about the rain. But in the end they went, they saw, and they got the job done. That is what matters I have heard about some others guys who haven't been so lucky this year in Maine. Congrats to your Dad, Tommy, and the rest of their group.
