Well I know it was nice down here in Mass on Sat but in Bellows the wind was howling at 15 mph most of the day. We had a small turnout with only 7 boats and Rivernut and I did the worst in a tourney this year, we came in 6th out of 7, that sucks!Cry1, We caught about 20 smallies so the day of fishing was o.k. for the conditions but everyone else caught them too. The winning bag was over 21 lbs for 8 smallies. We had 18.5 but everyone else had between us and the winners. I guess I can't complain of the fishing as any day you get 20 smallies in the 2 lb range should be a good day. The fish were in 20-35 ft on the bottom with a few fish moving up to the 8-10 ft range later in the day. All the boats were in site of each other all day and you just had to be lucky enough to get the 3's, which we did not.Notsure

side note: the curse continues. I had to bring my van as I had to leave right away at the end of the day, when I get to the gas station near the ramp, my steering is feeling a little funny. I pull in and one of the guys tells me my passenger tire up front is almost flat which it was, so while the guys are putting their rigs in, I was changing a tire!Swear1Smashhead

Darn it Gary poop always seems to happen to you. You need to borrow my youngest daughter so some of her good luck can rub off on you for a while I know it rubs off on me all the time. Why is she lucky? Because she is you know. She was born in October on friday the 13th her 13th birthday was on the 13 and usualy if something goes wrong she comes out on top Sorry to hear you did so poorly in the tourney but at least you where catching fish. And that flat tire at least you caught it before you where on the interstate or a major highway. Just keep telling yourself it could have been a lot worse. You take care and keep us posted on how the curse is progressing. I mean how your fishing is going

Jackie, my curse goes back to the day I bought my first boat in 1988, when the engine blew up on otis res! You guys here have only heard the latest few months, but my friends and family can attest to it going on for years and actually look forward to each years stories at xmas time! It doesn't bother me as I expect it each time I go out. it will never stop me from catching fish though!, Did I mention, that 2 weeks ago in a tourney, while grabbing the net, I hooked a rod and over it went!...The curse is like the Energizer battery, it keeps going and going and going!

Dang Gary,
Im sorry to hear about all the bad luck. But there has to be some good things mixed in with all this. Your life cant be all bad luck. The boat has to be the source of your bad luck. Perhaps its time to sell it and the give away your bad luck to the new owner haha.

I would love to give it away but 64k for a new one like mine is way out of my budget! Actually, the bad luck is only fishing related. I am so lucky to have a wife of 18 years and 2 beautiful kids, a great job, nice house, great friends and your typical disfunctional family!
