Had a bit of excitement today in the stand. Went out to a stand wich i havent hunted this year after jumping a big buck and 2 does sunday. Monday i didnt see anything. I got to the stand at about 3:45, and i didnt even have an arrow in the rest when a see a hugeee buck ( the one i jumped sunday) moving along the swamp about 35-40 yards out. no shot, but he moved into the swamp, i gave some grunt calls but he didnt come back. Then at about 4:15 i see some legs moving at the edge of the swamp, its a nice doe. It walks up the trail out of range, i give it some grunts and it comes back about 10 mins later, 40-50 yards out, and beds down! I was able to sneak out at dark with out jumping her, so you bet i will be back there the rest of the week!
I decided that i cant pass a doe, even if it might mean not being able to take the big buck this year, Im just to young to pass anything.
