I was lucky enough to have a small patch of woods in my front yard that i spent most of my child hood days in with my 2 younger brothers we learned you couldn't kill a tree rat with a home made bow & arrow and that it took a lot of BB'S to get one tree rat.When we got are 22 rime fires we would go to the town dump and shot rats by hundereds can't do that enymore.Then i was lucky enough to marrie a girl from the hills( leverett) and her three bothers hunted i was in heaven.What i'm getting at is i.v been a hunter for many moons.Heres a few pics from the last 35 years.

Aaron the way i look at it is.For the cost of a head mount you can buy a lot of toys and i have a lot of toysThumbsup

Ouch, I deserved that! remember I am picking on Yote, you could be next! oh but since you are the moderator, I HAVE to be nice to you! All in good fun!.

I have never bagged a deer, when I used to hunt in the 80's, it was just for pheasants, squirrels, etc, then I discovered how good the fishing was in the fall and how many fisherman were in the woods which made it even better and gave it up, still have access to the guns as I gave them to my Bro. When I was about 18, my bro's exwifes, little brother actuall brought his mounted 7 lb Lm from the quabbin to one of our family picnics at a small lake in Goshen Mass to show off as even at 18, I was still bustin on him on how much better I was. Well about 40 people were there and were all like "wow that's huge". I went out in the canoe with my 14 year old little brother and cast a worm out to a big rock and got the hawg of my life on! it weighed in at 8-4 on an old Deliar and was clearly bigger than Matts 7 which was proudly on display on one of the picnic table. We had no well, so we through it over and paddled as fast as we could across the lake back to the family. My little brother starts yelling we got a monster and everyone was looking when I hauled it out! You should have seen the look on Matts face, he was a beaten kid and felt good about it! Of course, 40 pollacks and no one had a camera! My uncle Ralph comes over and says, Wow are you going to mount it? to which I reply in front of the whole family " No, its way too small!" and I let it go! they could not believe it! I then said I thought it would be better to let a hawg like that go than kill it and put it on the wall, I think Matt still hates me for doing that to him!. that was my biggest and only bass over 8 and I have only gotten a few over 6, but 99% of my time I fish for smallies and released one well over 6 from Bellows falls VT. I do enjoy seeing everybody's trophy room. I love those skull mounts, too cool! My trophy room is just full of plaques and trophies from tournies over the years, kinda boring compared to the graveyard at Yotes place!

I never hate someone who is better, I try to learn from those that have something to offer and you do, my friend! I learned to play pool by getting hammered for years against a teacher/semi pro. one day I started winning a few, then a few more and now I can kick his but! took 15 years! I can take another 15 to learn all your secrets and maybe offer an old timer like you a few new things too! Next summer, after work, Sunderland! we gotta do it!
