Directions:
From the Turnpike:
Exit 5 (Chicopee) Follow the Montgomery St. Sign. At the end of the access road, take a right. Go straight through the lights at the intersection. The Amvets is on the right about a quarter mile down.
From Memorial Ave.(rte 33):
At the lower(southern, near the Hue Ke lau)Westover rotary, take Granby
Road(left if traveling north, right if going south) to the lights at the intersection of Montgomery St.(first set you come to). Take a right, and the Amvets is a quarter mile down on the right.
From 91:
North or South, take exit 12 (rte 391) take the 2nd exit(Exit 3, Granby Rd.), the same one you would take to the Chicopee boat launch on the river. Take a right at the end of the ramp, go straight at the lights(up the hill), through the lights at Grattan St.(a double underpass), and then you will come to a double set of lights. Go through the first, and take a left at the second set(7-11 on the left and Gas Station on the right). Amvets is

As far as food goes I think we are gonna keep it pretty simple for the first time around, and may order a bunch of pizza's if that is okay with everyone. Its a easy clean up.

I will be there. Sounds like a good time and the AM-VETS is an old stomping ground of mine. The only thing that will prevent me from being there will be if there is safe ice anywhere. Great Idea

Jackie T I think you will be able to let me ask Gill Finn and I'll get back to you. I think the age issue isn't a problem with this event.
As far as food goes I think we are gonna keep it pretty simple for the first time around, and may order a bunch of pizza's if that is okay with everyone. Its a easy clean up.
Currently we are also discussing holding a Raffle if anyone would like to bring a prize to donate that would be great. This idea was brought up by Mack, and dicussed with Gill Finn, and he's given the thumbs up. I believe raffle tickets are gonna be sold for a $1.00 per ticket. The prize donations can be fishing/non-fishing related. The money raised from the raffle will go directly back towards the site. For items such as Trophies, Plaques, or Awards for Members.
We may also have to pay for the room. The price hasn't been determined yet. When Gill Finn gets the final amount will post it up. The price won't be that bad and we may all just have to chip in $5.00 to $10.00 per person depending upon turn out for this event due to renting the room on the second floor.
If anyone would like to bring a prize please reply in this thread. I would like to keep the prizes secret until that day. For example reply "Yes I would like to bring a donation for the raffle", and the list would be updated.

my wife and i (BadBassBabe) will be running the raffle, we already have a few prizes ranging from fishing stuff to scented candles, so even if you can't donate anything, just buy a few tickets, like fisher16 said, it will all go back into the site, i think i idea of getting trophys and things like that is a great idea!
if you would like to PM me on donations, feel free.
thanks all!!

The Pats/Bears game has been moved to 4:15. Bash1 Bash1
The meeting is still on for 1:pm. Downstairs at the Am-Vets. We should be able to get some serious debate going in the 15 minutes between pizza,Beerchug beer, Beerchug and sodaBeerchug (at least 2 rounds). I've got a couple of IdeasNotsure I'd like to kick around, I know Mack does too. Please bring an opinion with you.No idea is too far fetched for consideration, except adopting Scooby-Do or Spongebob fishing poles Fishing1 as official MaAnglers gear.
After the dust settles, we can watch the Patriots, led byYikes VINNY TESTEVERDE???Yikes , take on the new Monsters of the Midway(if they haven't collapsed by then)
See you there
