99 Jimmy 4x4 trouble

My wife to be has a 99 Jimmy with the 4 button switch. I read that the switch is a big problem with them so I replaced it. When I turn the key the lights flash on it and go out. last week when she was driving the 2 wheel drive light came on and the service 4 wheel drive light went off. Then later in the day it stopped working. I tried disconnecting the battery for over an half hour so the computer would reset and that didn't work. I didn't find any vaccume leaks on the switches. Smashhead Anybody here ever had trouble like this?

Sorry I have never heard of that happening but if I were you I get rid of that thing now . because you are looking at a very large bill to repair it

Bev loves that Jimmy, leather heated seats and every option. It's paid for so if I have to dump 300 into it, that's still better than a new car payment. Going to get it looked at tomorrow.

Transfer case contol module located behind the passenger side kick panel is throwing a bad ground code. Took it out and saw some corrosion on the terminals and plugs. Going to try to clean it up and run a dedicated ground to the battery. I drive a 97 Silverado and the Bev drives the 99 Jimmy, I like the GM trucks. I have owned Jeeps, Dodge's, F250's, and now the Chevy. Every brand has it's problems and I don't care what you drive because sooner or later it will break down or need work.
