My good hunting buddie headed out to one of his hunting spots this afternoon! He wasn't in his stand very long and he heard deer!!!Yikes 4 does heading up a run he wasn't expecting...they ended up behind him and then the two smaller ones came by his shooting lane!!! Then the big doe stepped out and presented him a shot! He said it was around 10 yards Beerchug ...perfect double lung, complete pass through shot. She went about 20 yards and dropped...didn't even know what happened! I was totally pumped for him because neither of us has every connected opening day!!!Thumbsup Congrats to my buddy Ryan for opening day success!!!
Hopefully I can have his luck in the morning!

Enjoy the Pictures!!!

Looks like a heavy doe. I Wanna take a doe this year before i take a buck. (doesnt mean i will pass on a buck lol)

Nice doe....I too am looking to harvest a doe from our area, too many young bucks shot here lately, so I will be passing on small bucks this year, looking for a wall hanger. Unless I end up without a doe last day of the season, then all bets are off.

She sure did look bigger, I thought at first 130lb. Still a big body doe, and any deer with a Bow is a trophy in my book.
