Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill

I am saying a prayer that they can figure out how in the world to stop that oil from flowing out of that busted well. One of my dreams was to go to Florida and flyfish for bonefish some day. I am sickened by this event, and I am not sure they know how to stop this oil from coming out of that well.

It is inexcusable that there weren't more prevention mechanisms in place to keep this from happening.

The upper gulf is ruined for decades, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle are screwed. I just hope the tampa area and south to the keys are spared this disaster. The good news is that the wind and loop current will keep the oil up north. A hurricane now would be really bad. Imagine a 20 foot storm surge of oil and chemical dispersants, not pretty.Yuck1
