Anyone ever try or do bow hunt? A friend and also a neighbor of mine bow hunts and really enjoys it. Hes been telling me about it and Ive wanted to learn more about it. What sites out there are helpful in beginner bow hunters? I basically have no clue where to start with bow hunting so any help would be appreciated. Even just a bow for use as for doing target practice.

I am an avid bowhunter! There is no bigger rush than having a buck 10 yards away and him having no idea you are there. There are many forums for you to learn from. One I moderate on is www.huntingchat.net (http://www.huntingchat.net) Head on over there and go to the archery page. Read all you can then ask any questions you have left. Here is a link to the buck I shot this year on opening day. http://www.huntingchat.net/viewtopic.php?t=2752

Arlow thats awesome. I have been thinking about bowhunting for some time now and have been fasinated by it. Like you said the rush must be incredible. The rush must be more than if you shot it with a gun. Maybe some of those guys will come to MAanglers and join :). Ya thats awesome man.

MUZZYS are the best!!!!!!! my dad shot a deer in the chest with a muzzy and it came out its butt!

I thought I missed because my arrow went so fast and stuck up to the veins in the ground!!! The only thing that gave away a solid hit was the deer jumping 6 feet in the air and the unbelievable blood trail! I swear by Muzzy broad heads...shot two turkeys with them too.

NICE..my deer just walked away, but i knew i hit it bc the load thump and air when it hit the lungs. then my dad was up the trail waitin for me and it was trotting away and it dropped rite near him.

Muzzys are great thats what i shot,Deer when hit (him/her) They will usually kick there back legs so thats another thing to look for when you are not sure if you hit them.
