My cousin and I have been hunting a farm for the last 8 years or so, and before each bow season I go down to the Farm and asked for written permission. We have taken around five deer three bucks and two doe's.

I just got back from one of my favorite areas to hunt, without my permission slip. I guess the land has changed hands and is now owned by three seperate individuals who are not allowing anyone to hunt the farm anymore. I guess this is just more of a venting post but I spoke with the owner of one of the parcels. His personal opinion is that he wants people to hunt the land. But since the other owners are not allowing hunters to hunt their lands he has decided to not allow any one either. I guess there have been some problems with vandalism, and a bunch of other BS. I even told him I was a Cop and would keep an eye out for people who want damage their property. He told me another Cop spoke with him concerning access, and said the samething but he still denied him as well.

This is the first time I've been denied access to any area I'm Swear1 Swear1 Swear1 Swear1 Swear1 Swear1 Swear1 . But I really can't do anything right now I guess I'll just have to try back again next season and see if the owners have decided to allow hunters back on their land.

I still have Blandford, and the Mountains. Mad1 Mad1 Mad1 Mad1 Mad1 Mad1 Mad1

D@mn Sean that stinks. I think I might know where you are talking about too. Its so close to my house. Ton of deer there. Its a shame they dont open it up. Dont they realize that hunters are not the ones damaging the land and property but reckless kids on atvs and kids that party and go 4 wheeling on the lands? Makes no sense to me.

hey now, don't blame it on 4wheeling or ATV's, thats a whole other problem. Gee lets see, do we have our kids out riding trails on dirtbikes or ATVs, or should they be out robbing a convenient store and doing drugs....I will stop now as I could rant on that subject for days....sorry for the Hi-Jack Sean.

I have plenty of land up my way Sean!!! Looks like you may need to bring a climber to the mountains and have me find you a good tree one of these days!!!

Thanks Tacoma I look forward to hunting with you this season. I wish I could get access to this place it's pretty much guaratee to see a buck or two or three on any given day. I've passed up bucks, and does on quite a few occasions to wait for that monster buck. Hopefully the owner who I spoke with today purchases the rest of the land, and allows us to resume hunting.

Update the land is being developed into some condo's if it passes thru all the hearings.

gotta love it...find the small patches of woods around it...the deer will stay there they just will be more concentrated! Sounds like a good bowhunting spot?

Sucks about the development, it seems to be going on all around.

Sorry Sean. Maybe this is a blessing and you'll get your arse into another area and have better luck. Things do work in mysterious ways.
