On Oct. 22, from 7-12,there will be a small club tournament at the oxbow. It's a competition between 2(Lip Rippers and Ice Holez) small clubs. Only club members can compete for the total weight category, but anyone that wants, can fish for the big bass prize. It's $5.00 dollars per person, with either all the money going to 1st place or a 60/40 split for 1st. and 2nd, I don't remember, cuz I didn't win it last year.It's an easy going bunch of guys in a no pressure situation. There may even be hotdogs and soda(or beer) afterwards when everyone lies to you about how well or poorly they did.

Largemouth and Smallmouth only, no stripers.
Launch from the state ramp.
C'mon down for a few hours of fishin' and maybe even a couple of minutes of catchin'.

sounds like a good time. Just curious on how do you join small clubs like the two that you posted? DO youhave to know someone or pay money? Id like more info on this.

I know the guy that started it. He has the club set up as a learning tool as well as a tournament club. There is a cost,don't know what it is, but most, if not all clubs have some sort of annual fees. You could also google some of these names to see what comes up.:

Northern Bass Association
Chicopee Bassin association (no "g" in bassin)
Bass Addicts
Bass Anonymous
Mass Bass

Or go to the tournament and ask the guys. There are a ton of clubs out there. I just haven't been involved in clubs for 10-12 years and have lost touch with a lot of the members I used to know.

i would like to fish in the tourney but i need to jump in somebodys boat so if someone would like an "unlucky" partner (thats was mack and knot say) im willing.

I wish I could make it but I wouldn't be on time, and probably wouldn't be on the water till 8:30 a.m. I hate working weekends.

well, so far the weather is looking good for that sunday, in the 60's, also thursday is looking very mild with hi's in the upper 60's, so i'm going to hit the oxbow and try out some new stuff i got before sunday, so i'll be at the oxbow about 7am on thursday.Thumbsup
