I shoot a PSE have had it for eight years and have shot two deer with it. Probably will upgrade sooner or later to a Matthews.
Shoot with a release, along with Carbon Arrows with 110 grain three blade razor backs.

Hoyt set at 50 lbs. 5th year with it, four deer, one miss, shoot with release, Easton superslam arrows/feathers + thunderhead 100 gr. 3 blade fixed heads I shoot at 50 now down from 60 on my old Bear finger release...found it to hard to pull back in the cold so went with the lighter pull.

Picked up a 'new' toy on E-bay a couple weeks ago, a Martin "Dreamcatcher" recurve. Shot one several years ago at the Stockbridge traditional shoot and I've wanted one ever since. 50 pounds, smooth as silk, and if you think bows should be good looking as well as functional, this is it. Best looking bow I know of without spending BIG money on a small-shop custom bow.
And it hits where I aim ;-)

I used to shoot an older Bear compound, but recently obtained a PSE. Thing is so fast I can not see the arrow. Thinking of going to those Luminoks things to help these older eyes. Launch carbon tipped with mechanicals. Those make big holes, following the trail is never a problem. tossed the arrow rest in favor of a whisker bisquit, love the performance, and arrows do not fall off anymore. Draw hand is equipped with a release, and use a 3 pin sight looking thru a peep.
