I have been thinking, I know that can be dangerous but what the heck. When I was a kid there where some lures out that caught fish. I don't see them any more I still have a few and I used one the other day. I should have checked it over more carefully because the attachment for the trebble came out when something exploded under it.Yikes I was all excited there for a minute then it came loose. Cry1 What ever it was it was good size and was in Forge Pond. It seems a new lure comes out and the fish are hot for it probably because it dosen't look like anything they have seen before.Notsure Well fish don't live that long so this generation of monsters haven't seen the oldies lures. I am thinking the thing to use might be something very old (but solid) Does this sound like dangerous thinking?Eyeball Roller

I get crazy sometimes with all the new stuff coming out almost weekly these days. Every once in a while I just say STOP! I pull out an old Jitterbug and KABLOOWIE! You're right on track Jackie-T. I really do believe that it's what they haven't "seen" before that makes the difference. Thanks for sharing.

I have a 50's vintage Heddon Crazy Crawler and surface popper I still use regularly. The things are getting harder to find because they are becoming collectables.(my crazy crawler sells on line for $35.00 to $50.00) I agree with the Jitterbug It's my all time go to big bass lure. I prefer the 5/8 oz size in black. Nothing beats a top water slam.
